A large number of cyberattacks have hit Australia and New Zealand. In 2020-2021, cybercrime reports in Australia increased by 13%--equating to one report of a cyberattack every eight minutes—and a higher proportion were categorised by the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) as “substantial” in impact.
In New Zealand, reports of criminal or financially motivated actors increased by a similar percentage.
Cloudflare can fulfil a more secure internet through these additional data centres.
Cloudflare has had a longstanding presence in ANZ, first expanding its network to Sydney in 2012.
Today, Cloudflare’s network spans more than 270 cities in more than 100 countries.
It counts Kathmandu and Rip Curl as its customers in ANZ.
