Zoho adds BI to its business software lineup

Business software provider Zoho has added the Business Intelligence Platform to its portfolio. This AI-driven system combines the newly launched Zoho DataPrep with an enhanced version of Zoho Analytics.

According to Zoho, the self-service BI Platform enables organisations to cleanse, unify, and analyse cross-departmental data.

It includes visual dashboards, data integrations, data preparation, augmented and embedded BI, and security and privacy capabilities. BI Platform can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud.

Highlights include augmented data preparation and management with machine learning, data stories (live reports and dashboards can be embedded into Zoho Sites and Zoho Show), augmented analytics (with the aid of Zia, Zoho's conversational AI), and a marketplace for third-party analytical apps and integrations that extend BI Platform.

Deep native analytical apps with domain-specific advanced analytics will also be available in marketplaces such as Shopify, ServiceNow and Atlassian.

Zoho BI Platform can work with more than 250 data sources, including Zendesk, HubSpot, Microsoft, Mailchimp, Stripe and Google.

Zia assists with data preparation and visualisation, using natural language querying and generation, text narration of key insights from reports and dashboards, and cognitive and advanced analytics.

Zoho Analytics is already used by more than 50,000 organisations. One of them is Inform Ag, an Australian agricultural engineering and IT business.

"Our ultimate goal is to have a dashboard that paints a detailed, real-time picture of our business data, for example sales per account and per product, in one place," said operations manager Jarrayd Apelt.

"We want to build a dashboard that's cooperative and forms detailed reports that allow us to make informed and strategic decisions to grow and improve our business. Zoho's BI Platform is going to form the master hub of our business, helping us work smarter and more efficiently, for a long time to come."

Zoho chief evangelist Raju Vegesna said "For data to be a true catalyst of business growth, there can't be any gaps in the collection, management, or analysis process.

"Too few BI platforms in the market excel in both data preparation and analytics, which leaves businesses with weak - or worse, flawed - insights.

"Zoho's BI Platform is industry-leading because it ensures organisations are acting on legitimate data, which can be effectively leveraged to determine new revenue streams, refocus funds, drive productivity, and overall gain a competitive edge among peers in their market."

Zoho BI Platform is available immediately. The cloud version is $8 per user per month or $108 per user per year. The on-premises version is $30 per user per month or $360 per user per year.
