VIDEO: An update on upgrading your business nous and noodle by using Jazoodle

If you want to get granular visibility and control over the whole kit and caboodle that is your business, or the businesses of your clients, Jazoodle's platform gives you the knowledge and insight you need.

Back in late December, I wrote about Jazoodle, which was one of the businesses attending and exhibiting at StartCon 2017, as you can read about here in an article entitled: "Video interview: Jazoodle CEO on how to make better business choices".

As the intro text at Jazoodle's site says, the service offers "financial planning tools" for business owners, accountants and business advisors that, within seconds, and with no manual input, shows you "the key trends, risks and opportunities that could make a significant difference to the future performance of any company".

Now, it has to be said that at the moment, Jazoodle works with the Xero accounting platform, but obviously has MYOB and other accounting platforms in the frame for future support too, as you'll read after the video below, so when I saw Jazoodle chief executive Andrew Paton-Smith at CeBIT Australia 2018, I sought an update on how everything was going.

Here's my video interview with Andrew, with the article continuing below on an update since CeBIT, so please take a look and then read on!

I caught up recently with Paton-Smith and ask how things have been progressing since CeBIT Australia 2018, and he explained that: “The weeks since the event have been wonderful, if not hectic.

“We’ve been meeting with several potential clients whom we met at the event, and happy to report many of which have started on their journey with Jazoodle," he said.

"We have had a great response from business owners, Directors, as well as business advisors and even a few accountancy firms. We have also cemented relations with a large non governmental organisation whom we are in talks with to provide Jazoodle as an additional solution to their business advisory clients.

"This is particularly exciting for us, and we hope to be able to announce more on this in the coming weeks.

"In short, the Jazoodle solution will extend the capabilities of the organisation’s own services as well as open an exciting market opportunity for ourselves."

Paton-Smith also explained Jazoodle is "in talks with another small business advocacy organisation, but this is in the early days so far, but both parties can see great synergies in combining the strengths of their own platforms combined with the strength of the Jazoodle platform".

As you can imagine, Jazoodle are also looking to the future and reports "greatly increasing its reach within Australia as well as broadening markets in New Zealand, the UK, and USA".

Paton-Smith concluded: “We are also about to announce the further integration of accounting packages, with Quickbooks and MYOB integrations happening within the next few months.

"This will be hugely exiting for us, as it means we then have coverage of around 90% of the Australian and New Zealand Small Business Accountancy systems.

"Equally, we are looking to attract further investment into the business that will help pave the way for increased growth. Discussions are ongoing in this space but would hope to make further announcements within the next six months."

So it's not apple strudel and cream for Jazoodle just yet, but plenty of hard work is clearly underway, and in the spirit of wanting to see and help startup businesses succeed and grow on a global scale, I look forward to seeing the company go from strength to strength helping its own clients and partners do exactly the same!
