Saasu CEO Marc Lehmann said "Recently Saasu received cashflow bonus payments from the government. We’re doing fine financially so we decided to look at Saasu’s pricing to see how we can give that value back to our customers that are using our online accounting software."
The outcome is that from 1 August 2020, the following changes will be made to Saasu's plans:
• Inventory included with all plans (previously part of medium and large plans)
• Multi-currency included with all plans (previously part of medium and large plans)
• Data storage increased by 20% on medium plan
• API limits increased by 20-25% on medium and large plans
The first two changes might allow some customers to downgrade from the medium to small plan, reducing the monthly subscription from $40 to $15. However, the small plan is limited to 1000 transactions a year and payroll for just one employee, compared with 20,000 transactions and 20 employees on the medium plan.
Lehmann said Saasu is profitable and sustainable in its own right.
"I will say we do run a very tight ship, we aren’t flamboyant like some of our competitors and we did prepare fairly well for an economic downturn that I was expecting."
