Home People Moves Hills boosts NZ expansion with executive appointment

Australian-based technology solutions company Hills has appointed a new general manager to head its New Zealand business.

Chris Whiting, most recently general manager sales for Armourguard Security in New Zealand and Fiji, has been appointed to the role with the task of expanding the company’s operations in the New Zealand market.

Whiting has more than 11 years of industry experience across businesses in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, and will be based at Hills’ Auckland office.

In New Zealand and Australia, Hills is a provider of security technology, specialising in access control, fire, CCTV surveillance and IT systems. The company also provides health solutions business across both countries with deployments in hospital and aged care sites.

Hills chief executive David Lenz said Chris Whiting’s appointment was timely, considering the company’s current strategy of “further expanding its dominance in the key NZ markets in which it operates”.

“With an excellent background in providing total solution packages in demanding and pressurised environments, Chris will lead the Hills NZ team with our vision of further developing our ability to distribute technologies and services that connect, entertain and secure people’s lives.”
